Joel Harrison
Joel Harrison is a multi-award winning drinks writer and presenter who specialises in whisky, gin, Cognac and other fine spirits.
Winner of a Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Award for his work, Joel’s writing can be seen in publications such as The Times, The Daily Telegraph, CityAm, WIRED and Whisky Magazine. He is the spirits editor for Club Oenologique magazine and is the author of six books on spirits, including global best seller ’Distilled’ which is currently published in 16 languages. His seventh book, The Whisky World Tour is out Sept in the UK and USA on Mitchell Beazley.
In addition to writing, Joel appears regularly on British television as a whisky expert, hosting a slot for the past nine years on the popular food and drink show Sunday Brunch.
In 2013 Harrison received the highest accolade in the Scotch whisky industry, being made a Keeper of the Quaich. He has been inducted as a member of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and received the Freedom of the City of London in 2020 for his work. He also holds titles with the Compagnie des Mousquetaires d’Armagnac, and the Gin Guild.
