Anastasia Miari (@Anastasia_Miari) has been cooking with and interviewing the world’s grandmothers for a decade, resulting in books Yiayia: Time-perfected Recipes from Greece’s Grandmothers (shortlisted for Fortnum and Mason book of the year award 2024 and highlighted by Chef Jamie Oliver as “important cultural work” ) and MEDITERRANEA: Life-perfected recipes from grandmothers of the Mediterranean.

She holds a Guild of Food Writer’s Award for ‘inspired storytelling and great journalistic integrity.’ In her work as a food and travel writer, she freelances for Conde Nast Traveller, Monocle magazine, Konfekt magazine, The Guardian, The Observer and The Sunday Times. Based in Greece, Anastasia hosts retreats on her home island of Corfu, giving people a real insight into the worlds of her books.
