Sabrina Ghayour
Chef and food writer Sabrina Ghayour is a best-selling author of eight cookbooks so far including the best-selling ‘Persiana’ and ‘Persiana Express’. She made her name hosting the hugely popular ‘Sabrina’s Kitchen’ Supper Club in London but also at prestigious venues around the UK including Fortnum & Mason, Castle Howard and Limewood. She is also a seasoned cookery teacher and has hosted her own classes in London and across the UK for over a decade.
Sabrina specialises in Persian and Middle Eastern flavours, winning legions of devoted fans for her simple, flavourful and accessible recipes, books and writing.
She is a regular face on our TV screens in BBC1’s ‘Saturday Kitchen’, Channel 4’s ‘Sunday Brunch’ and has appeared as a Guest Judge on BBC’s ‘Great British Menu’. ‘Masterchef’ and ‘Top Chef Canada’ as well as guest appearances on shows with Raymond Blanc, Ainsley Harriott and Nadiya Hussein. She is also amongst some of the UK’s top chefs whose meals you can order on the country’s mos popular gourmet meal delivery website ‘Dishpatch’, owned by Waitrose, creating meal kits with her menus proving to be one of their top rated offerings.
Sabrina has a product range with Merchant Gourmet – two highly successful products ‘Persian’ and ‘Turkish’ spiced grain pouches, sold in Waitrose, Sainsburys and Ocado. She also consults to Restaurant Associates as well as to airlines, supermarkets, restaurants, retailers and food and drinks brands, where her invaluable expertise in Persian and Middle Eastern ingredients and recipes is regularly sought out for product, menu and brand development.
Hailed by The Observer as the ‘Golden Girl of Persian Cuisine’, Sabrina has become the nation’s ‘go to’ girl for Persian and Middle Eastern recipes, history and ingredient wisdom. She writes regularly for magazines and newspapers and her recipes and writing are featured in media across the globe.
